​​​​I have been a professional writer for the past two decades. I started off as a foreign correspondent for Reuters, where I covered news out of Hong Kong, Shanghai and Paris. I covered a range of exciting topics - from the Beijing 2008 Olympics to protests in Paris - and received a sound training in accurate writing.

After nearly a decade of reporting, I decided to re-train as a healthcare analyst. I completed a Masters in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, focusing on Health Promotion and Epidemiology. I then worked for nearly a decade as Senior Research Associate at IHS Markit (now GlobalData) , writing daily analysis reports on the healthcare industry. Thanks to this role, I became highly skilled in market research, technical writing and data analysis.

My grant writing experience includes:

• Writing and reviewing applications for the Henry Smith Charity, the National Lottery, and BBC Children in Need. 

• Experience as volunteer Fundraising Manager for Swan Lifeline

• Grant writer for the UK Thalassaemia Society and Two Generations CIC.

​​​​​​​I have excellent research, writing and organisational skills. This enables me to find funding opportunities that are most aligned with your needs, guide you through the often lengthy grant funding process, and stay on top of deadlines.

• Certificate in Animal Welfare and Behaviour from the University of Edinburgh

• Certificates in animal rescue from the US Federal Emergency Management Agency

• Regular volunteer for the British Hen Welfare Trust and the Humane League (UK)

• Co-founder of animal micro-sanctuary for ex-farm animals in the Scottish Highlands.​
